Creativity with a Purpose

A private photo studio in Downtown Reno available for hourly rental by photographers and creatives.

The Studio consists of:

  • Approximately 485 SF of creative space with 12 ft ceilings, backdrops, seating options and six separate set areas;
  • The Classic
  • The Foundry
  • The Back Lot
  • The Linear
  • The Santa-Fe
  • The Corporate
  • Each set is approximately 8ft tall by 8ft wide, except for the Santa Fe which is slightly less wide.  The Linear has clips above for a 5ft wide backdrop.
  • The Classic has a three backdrop roller system with three 7ft wide paper backdrops.
  • A comfortable lounge area consisting of approximately 170 SF.
  • A 18 SF private changing room.
  • Access to a common kitchen and restrooms just steps away.
  • The studio exists inside a secure building.

FAQ

What is included?

You have access to everything in the the studio including:

  • The lounge, makeup station, and changing room
  • Light stands of various sizes
  • Backdrops
  • A variety of seating options.
  • You also have access to the shared kitchen and bathrooms located down the hall.

We do have a private storage room that is not available to our guests.

How far in advance should we book?

You may book Studio II up to three months in advance and as close as twenty-four hours prior to your event.

Is it possible to extend my time?

Generally no. However, if there are no appointments after you and the time requested is still within normal operating hours, it may be possible. Contact us, if it is possible, we will work with you. We hate to stifle creativity!

Do you have lights to rent?

Unfortunately, no. Our current insurance will not allow us to rent out our lights or light modifiers but you may use our light stands or bring your own.

What are the rules?

  • Have fun and be creative!
  • Smoking, including vape pens, alcohol, and drug use of any kind is prohibited.
  • To maintain a professional and respectful atmosphere, adult content of any kind is not permitted in the studio.
  • Clean up after yourself. Basic cleaning supplies are available.
  • A $100 cleaning fee will be charged if the space is not reset, including backdrops rolled up or put away, etc.
  • No glitter, rice, confetti, smoke bombs, or pyrotechnics or any kind is allowed.
  • Please include setup and breakdown time within your booking. Sessions may run back to back, so arrive on time and vacate the studio promptly at the end of your scheduled slot. A $60 fee will be applied for any overtime. There is no grace period.
  • Studio II is a self-serve studio. During all rental hours, you’ll set up and break down lighting, backdrops, and modifiers on your own. This allows us to keep rental rates accessible while giving every photographer full creative control of the space.
  • Please only book if you’re comfortable operating basic studio equipment such as C-stands, strobes, and the backdrop roller system. If you’re new to studio lighting, we recommend scheduling extra setup time within your rental or bringing along a knowledgeable assistant.

When do Evening and Weekend Hours begin?

Evening hours begin at 4 PM M-F excluding holidays.

Holidays have the same rates as evenings and weekends.
